How is your organization doing?

Here’s your chance to evaluate in real time, online, how well you, your management team, and/or your own manager are leading change.

There are three assessments. You can take them individually or complete all three for a more comprehensive view. They are:

  • a Resistance Assessment which measures attitudes towards and behavior with regard to resistance to change in your organization;
  • a Planning Assessment which measures how well your organization currently plans for change;
  • and a Leadership Assessment which measures how well managers guide, support and lead an organization through change.

All you have to do is click on one of the links above, respond as instructed to the 12 to 14 statements, and then click Calculate to discover your Resistance, Planning and/or Leadership Score.

After you’ve received your score, read the description that corresponds to your score. You can then judge how well your organization manages resistance to, planning for and/or leads change, as well as what you can probably expect with future change efforts. And by examining your response to each of the individual statements, you can get clues on how to improve management of specific issues.

Here are five ways for you to use these assessments. You can…

  • Keep your evaluation to yourself - as a way to validate intuitions and gut feelings about how well change is managed within your organization.
  • Use it as a discussion topic with your own management or work team to help you improve your change efforts
  • Discuss your results with your manager (providing that he or she is open to discussions like this)
  • Alternatively, send your results to the people who manage the change you’re presently struggling with, such as HR or a special taskforce. Or if you’re part of the team managing a specific change, use the results as an evaluation and guide for improving resistance management
  • Give the assessment to every one in your organization (if you’re a manager), asking that they honestly fill it out. And if you do want honest feedback, then make sure that you protect confidentiality!

We hope you will find the assessments enlightening and useful to you and your organization.

Please note: All assessment answers and scores are held anonymously.
